Greater Than

Our God is bigger than the mountains and
His love is deeper than the oceans
For us...he loves us...
Our God is creator of the heavens and
His love reaches down to where we are...over you...

He is greater than
Than when the stars fall
Than when the earth shakes
He is greater than
Than a sunrise
Than a blue sky
He is greater than
The surface we are scratching is a fraction
Of a corner of an eyelash is the love in his eye

Our God sends the rain to fill the river flow
His love is brighter than a rainbow
For us...he loves us...
Our God can bend around the speed of sound and
His love rings down to where we are...over you...

He is greater than
Than when the stars fall
Than when the earth shakes
He is greater than
Than a sunrise
Than a blue sky
He is greater than
The surface we are scratching is a fraction
Of a corner of an eyelash is the love in his eye

He is greater than
Than when the stars fall
Than when the earth splits
He is greater than
Than a free fall
Than a moon eclipse
He is greater than
Than a sunrise
Than a sky dive
He is greater than
The surface we are scratching is a fraction
Of a corner of an eyelash is the love in his eye
He is greater than
 ">Greater Than"

So here's the deal. I haven't been doing a great job of actually journaling and I'm on the computer all the time anyway, so I'm going to give this a try. We're just going to see how this works. Sending thoughts out into the cosmic void and of course, directly to You.

If only I could grasp how truly great You really are. Because what I know, really is only the fraction of a corner or an eyelash of all the love in Your eyes for me. So that's going to be my goal - pretty much for life. To constantly seek Your face and learn how much I don't know about You. Hence the title. I want you to always be Greater Than in my life. And I'm not perfect, I know I will constantly need to be reminded of that.

Psalm 4:6-7 "Many are asking, 'Who can show us any good?' Let the light of your face shine upon us, O Lord. You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound."
1 Peter 2:2-3 "Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good."
